- 12 ounces fresh cranberries, rinsed and sorted
- 1 large orange, zested and chopped (with peel)
- 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Rinse and sort the cranberries, and chop the orange, keeping the peel on for added zest.
- Cook the Mixture: In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, orange, sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Simmer: Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
