From Romanian Roots to Texas Gardens: A Journey in Growing
I’m Sanda, a teacher and garden enthusiast, creating sustainable and beautiful edible landscapes in SouthTexas. My story began with gardening the rich soil of western Romania, where my earliest memories are filled with helping on my family’s vegetable farm.
From those first seeds planted in Romanian soil to adapting to California’s arid climate, and now embracing the humid challenges of Southeast Texas, each garden has taught me something new. These diverse experiences have shaped my approach to creating resilient, beautiful spaces that thrive in any season.
What I Create
- Year-round beautiful landscapes that feed both body and soul
- Sustainable mini-ecosystems that work with nature, not against it
- Gardens that blend ornamental beauty with practical food production
- Spaces that celebrate every season with changing textures and colors
Why I Garden As a Christian, I believe we’re called to be faithful stewards of God’s creation. Every seed planted, every flower that blooms, and every harvest gathered reminds me of His abundant grace. My garden is my way of honoring this gift while creating spaces that nourish both land and community.
