Deliciously Crunchy Sesame Honey Crisps

These sesame honey crisps are light, crunchy, and packed with flavor. The combination of toasted sesame seeds and honey creates a balanced sweetness that pairs wonderfully with the crispy texture, making each bite a delightful experience.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil for greasing
Instructions
- Toast the Sesame Seeds: In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the sesame seeds until golden brown, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Prepare the Syrup: In a saucepan, combine honey, sugar, water, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Combine Ingredients: Remove the syrup from heat and stir in the toasted sesame seeds and vanilla extract until well coated.
- Shape the Crisps: Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil. Pour the sesame mixture onto the sheet and spread it out evenly with a spatula. Let it cool for a few minutes until it firms up.
- Cut and Serve: Once cool, use a sharp knife to cut the mixture into squares or rectangles. Allow to cool completely before serving or storing.
