Ingredients
- 2 sheets of phyllo pastry
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix the diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins, and breadcrumbs until the apples are well coated.
- Assemble the Strudels: Lay one sheet of phyllo pastry on a clean surface and brush lightly with melted butter. Place another sheet on top and brush again with butter. Spoon a portion of the apple filling along one edge of the pastry, then carefully roll it up tightly.
- Bake: Place the rolled strudel seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush the top with more melted butter and repeat the process with remaining filling and pastry. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve: Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar. Cut into mini slices and serve warm.
