Irresistible Apple and Rosemary Crumble
This apple and rosemary crumble features juicy apples mixed with fragrant rosemary, all baked to perfection under a golden, crumbly topping. It’s warm, inviting, and bursting with flavor, making it a delightful end to any meal.
Ingredients
- 4 large apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, fresh rosemary, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Toss to coat the apples evenly and set aside.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the softened butter to the dry ingredients and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly in a greased baking dish. Top with the crumble mixture, ensuring it covers the apples completely.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
