Mixing bowl
Fork or potato masher
- 4 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 large lettuce leaves (such as romaine or butter lettuce)
- Optional: diced celery or pickles for added crunch
Mix the Egg Salad: In a bowl, combine the chopped hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, add diced celery or pickles.
Prepare the Lettuce: Carefully wash and dry the lettuce leaves, ensuring they are whole and intact for wrapping.
Assemble the Wraps: Spoon a generous amount of egg salad onto the center of each lettuce leaf. Fold the sides of the lettuce over the filling and enjoy!
Serve: Serve the wraps immediately for the best crunch, or refrigerate the egg salad separately and assemble just before serving.
