  • 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 4 ounces gouda cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • Honey for drizzling (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Pears: In a baking dish, arrange the pear halves cut side up. Drizzle with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts over the pears.
  • Add the Cheese: Place a slice of gouda on top of each pear half.
  • Bake: Bake the pears in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until they are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve: Drizzle with honey and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve warm as a delightful dessert.
