Thai Basil Stir-Fried Chinese Broccoli

- 1 pound Chinese broccoli, washed and chopped
- 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the minced garlic and stir-fry about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
Toss in the chopped Chinese broccoli and stir-fry 3-4 minutes, until the leaves are wilted and the stems are tender yet crisp.
Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar, mixing well to coat the vegetables evenly.
Add the Thai basil leaves and stir-fry another minute, until the basil is wilted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy hot, as a side dish or over rice.
