Thai Basil Stir-Fried Chinese Broccoli

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Chinese broccoli, washed and chopped
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and stir-fry about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  • Toss in the chopped Chinese broccoli and stir-fry 3-4 minutes, until the leaves are wilted and the stems are tender yet crisp.
  • Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar, mixing well to coat the vegetables evenly.
  • Add the Thai basil leaves and stir-fry another minute, until the basil is wilted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy hot, as a side dish or over rice.
