Homemade Fall Apple Crisp

Ingredients
  

For the Apple Filling:

  • 6 medium apples about 900 g, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

For the Crisp Topping:

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Toss the sliced apples with the lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread evenly in the dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.
  • Bake for 40 minutes, until the topping is golden and the apples are bubbling. Cool slightly before serving.
