Ingredients
  

For the Basil Oil

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Pinch of salt

For Finishing

  • 2–3 tbsp balsamic glaze (store-bought or reduced balsamic vinegar)
  • Extra basil leaves for garnish
  • Soft goat cheese or burrata
  • Chopped kalamata olives
  • Crushed red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions
 

  • In a small food processor or blender, combine basil leaves, olive oil, and a pinch of salt.; Blend until smooth and vibrant green. Set aside.
  • Dice tomatoes and place them in a bowl with minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.; Let it marinate while you prep the bread—it draws out the juices and builds flavor.
  • Brush both sides of bread slices with olive oil.; Toast in a skillet or under the broiler until golden and crisp.; Optional: Rub warm toast with a cut garlic clove for extra flavor.
  • Spoon tomato mixture generously over each slice of toasted bread.; Drizzle with basil oil and a light zig-zag of balsamic glaze.; Garnish with extra basil leaves and a sprinkle of sea salt.
