Garden-Infused & Gorgeous Lemon Balm & Blackberry Iced Tea

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon balm leaves (or 2 tbsp dried)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 1–2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup, to taste)
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Ice, for serving
  • Lemon slices, blackberries, or mint (optional, for garnish)
  • A sprig of mint or lemon verbena for extra flavor
  • Sparkling water to top off each glass
  • A splash of elderflower syrup or hibiscus for floral notes

Instructions
 

  • Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan.; Remove from heat, add lemon balm and blackberries. Gently mash berries with a spoon to release juice.; Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes.
  • Strain tea through a fine mesh strainer into a heat-safe pitcher or bowl.; Stir in honey (or sweetener of choice) and lemon juice while warm. Taste and adjust.
  • Let cool slightly, then refrigerate until chilled—about 1–2 hours.; Serve over ice with optional garnishes: lemon wheel, extra berries, or fresh herbs.
