Chamomile-Basil Iced Tea with Citrus Zest

- 4 cups water
- 2 Tbsp loose dried chamomile or 3 chamomile tea bags
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves gently bruised
- Zest of 1 small lemon or orange
- 1-2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup to taste
- Ice for serving
- Optional: fresh basil sprigs or citrus slices for garnish
Brew the Base
Bring 4 cups water to a boil, then remove from heat.
Add the chamomile, basil leaves, and citrus zest. Cover and steep 10-15 minutes.
Strain into a pitcher. Stir in the honey or sweetener while warm.
Chill & Serve
Let cool slightly, then refrigerate 1-2 hours until cold.
Serve over ice with a fresh basil leaf or slice of citrus for garnish.
