🌿 The Prayer Garden Challenge
Girl, the weeds don’t cancel the prayer. They are the prayer.
If your garden can grow weeds, it can grow prayers. You don’t need a Pinterest-perfect garden or hours of quiet time to meet with God.
What you need is a small space — a corner of your yard, a cluster of pots, even one fragrant plant — set apart as holy ground.
In this free 6-day challenge, I’ll guide you step by step to create your own prayer garden: a place where soil and Scripture come together, where you can pause, pray, and breathe deeply again. By the end of the week, you’ll have a simple, sacred spot to return to — a place rooted in beauty, peace, and God’s presence.

What Is a Prayer Garden?
A prayer garden is a dedicated space where soil and Scripture meet.
It can be as simple as a pot of lavender on your porch or as meaningful as a small corner of your backyard set apart for prayer.
In 6 days, you’ll:
✅ Pick your space (no matter how big or small)
✅ Plant with intention and meaning
✅ Establish a daily rhythm of prayer in the garden
✅ Dedicate your garden as holy ground
How the Challenge Works
From Soil to Soul: My Journey with Prayer in the Garden
I’ve moved four times in the past three years. Each time, I had to leave behind the garden I poured myself into — the raised beds I built, the flowers I planted, the soil I tended. Walking away from those spaces felt like walking away from a piece of my heart.
But here’s what I’ve learned: every time I began again, planting something new was more than a hobby. It was a declaration. A way of saying to God, “I’m here. I’m trusting You to grow something in me, even in this season.”
For me, gardening has never just been about food or flowers. It has been about soul survival. Pulling weeds has felt like confession. Planting seeds has felt like hope. Watering thirsty soil has reminded me what it means to trust God’s timing when I can’t control the outcome.
That’s why I created this challenge. Not because I think you need another task or another project. But because I believe God wants to meet you right where you are — in your backyard, on your patio, even in one simple pot by your window.

A prayer garden isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. And my prayer is that in creating one, you’ll find what I’ve found again and again: that God meets us in the garden, in the quiet, in the small spaces set apart for Him.
I am asking you to join me as I create my own prayer garden and build yours right along. Let’s ground ourselves in grace and soil and build rhythms that draw us in closer connection with our Lord. There is no better place to be!
